Millard F. Brown III founded Gateway Systems, Inc. in 1984, along with his father, Millard F. Brown, Jr. Millard is one of the fewer than 40 members of Team Sybase. Team Sybase is a group of individuals from all over the world, chosen by Sybase to provide first-level support to some of their most important customers. Team Sybase members are chosen for their technical accomplishments and their ability to communicate clearly with customers and solve their problems quickly and accurately. He built his own computer system (a Timex-Sinclair ZX-81) in 1980 from a printed circuit board and individual parts. His interest in the workings of computer hardware and software has continued unabated since then. Millard is the co-author of four technical books. These books cover the elements of architecture, design, development and deployment of major enterprise-level distributed information systems. He is also a well-known speaker, magazine author and columnist. Music, his family, and cats round out his life (so he's not just a geek.) |
